Unlike other granite countertop companies, when you work with MC Granite Countertops LLC, you will receive a 100% Limited Warranty against defects in material or workmanship excluding normal wear and tear MC Granite Countertops in its sole discretion, will either repair or replace any material that appears to be defective.

CARE GUIDE

Natural stone is porous and needs to be sealed on an annual basis. The best way to prevent stains, water spots, and things of that nature is to apply a protective sealant. The sealer can be easily applied by the homeowner, and the process does not take long at all. If you purchased your stone at MC Granite Countertops, we will apply the initial coat of sealer for your countertops, but it is still highly recommended that you re-apply the sealer once every year.

Routine cleaning of your stone is extremely simple, as long as you avoid using chemicals that can cause a negative impact on the stone. Ammonia is one of your worst enemies, and you need to avoid using it at all costs. What ammonia does as far as the stone is concerned, is it actually eats away at and dissolves the sealer. If the sealer is not present, your stone is at risk of staining. One of the most common household cleaners that contain ammonia is “Windex”, so make sure to avoid using that product for cleaning your countertops. What you DO want to use is a mild detergent and water, which works just fine. There are many different granite cleaners on the market, which are certainly safe to use, but in all honesty, soap and water are all you need.

Natural stone can sustain heat up to different temperatures, which vary depending on the exact material, but we still highly recommend using trivets or some sort of mat under hot dishes or cookware.

Granite Care Do's & Don'ts

DON’T wait to clean up spills; take care of cleaning them up as soon as you can.

DON’T use cleaner that contains a grit in it for cleaning (i.e. bathroom cleaners, grout cleaners, bathtub cleans. Soft Scrub, Comet, etc.)

DON’T use vinegar, bleach, ammonia, or anything with high levels of acid in it for cleaning.

DON’T use anything abrasive to clean your countertops (i.e. steel wool, dry cleaners, soft cleansers Scotch Brite, etc.)

DON’T use alkaline cleaners that are not specifically formulated for natural stone.

DO clean surfaces regularly with soap and water, or an approved stone cleaner.

DO make sure to enjoy your countertops, and don’t be afraid to use them normally, just be conscious about items that could potentially harm them.

The large samples of the many options gave me a clear picture of how my new kitchen counters would look.  The price was reasonable (far more acceptable that previous quotes).  The measurements were taken by a highly professional person.  I was not able to be here when my counters were installed, but my wonderful contractor came and supervised the installation.  He reported no issues with the installation and said the installers came within the 4 hour window that they promised.  I am extremely pleased with my new countertops!!!

The gentleman that came out to measure did a wonderful job, spent quite a while ensuring he got the correct measurements with his scanner. And the guys that came out to deliver were very efficient with their time and did a great job keeping everything clean, as well as the walls and floor safe. The price was very reasonable and less than many of the other companies I got quotes from.  You do have to make sure you have someone to take out and reinstall your sink/plumbing because they don't offer that service. But this is one way we were able to keep our cost down. The only reason I give 4 stars vs 5 is because I started my inquiry online and was assigned Monica as my customer service agent and she was difficult to reach. She had emailed me some information, so I tried to email her back and didn't get a response from her, so I went to the show room to get the questions I wanted answered (and she was the one who was there and answered them). In another situation later she had texted me to give me some information and again I had texted her back  with no response. She was fine to work with in person, but may have been too busy to respond to questions from someone not directly in front of her. Overall I am happy with the service from  MC Granite and would recommend them. I am very happy with my granite countertops!
